COVID-19: What you need to know about my business during the Pandemic
I plan to update this page with new information on a regular basis, to keep you informed about what is going on in the sector and how I can help you.
17 March 2021 - Hello! I'm sorry this is my first update in a while. For personal reasons I have stepped back a little from treatments, despite my insurance company giving me the go ahead to work in January. Thanks to certain governing bodies in our industry, they managed to get confirmation from the government that massage treatments can come under 'other health services' allowed to continue. So I have been offering treatments to clients with a 'clinical need'.
I am hoping to resume as normal from the 12th April, if all goes to plan. I will let you know. Please get in touch if you want to ask me anything, or book ahead for April.
Meanwhile, I am work on a couple of projects behind the scenes, which I am very excited about! I look forward to being to tell you more when I can.
Stay safe and take care, Carly xxx
30 December 2020 - News just in, Gloucestershire goes into Tier 4 from midnight tonight. This means that I will not be allowed to work. If you have a massage booked I will be in touch to reschedule when there is a date to reopen. In the meantime, take care, and get in touch if you need advice on how to help yourself at home! Stay safe all xxx
15 November 2020 - Hi all, Unfortunately I am unable to work at the moment due to the current lockdown measures. I am optimistic that I will be able to resume from the 2nd December, so please feel free to start booking ahead now. I will now ask that you use my new 'Health Declaration' form, which is replacing my consultation form. Please complete this at least 24 hours before your appointment, along with the above COVID Declaration. As before I will ask that you tell me of any contact you have had with COVID, and if you are symptomatic at all, prior to your booking. We can easily reschedule, at no cost to you.
Thank you for remaining loyal, and supporting my business during this difficult year. Gift vouchers are available to buy if you wish to treat someone for Christmas! I can deliver/post to you, or direct to the recipient. Click here for more info.
I hope you are all keeping well. I am always here if I can advise on anything, or just for a chat!
Take care and hopefully see you soon, Carly
27 September 2020 - Business as usual, I just ask that you read the above guidelines, and complete a new declaration form each time I come to you (annoying I know) I will also be carrying a QR code from now on, for you to scan for track and trace purposes.
30 July 2020 - I am afraid I have no availability in August now, as we have found out that we need to self isolate for the second 2 weeks of august, for my son to have his routine MRI. I am sorry for the inconvenience. I will be back open on the 31st August (however am full that day). You are more than welcome to book in for September using my online booking system. Click here to book
10 July 2020 - Following yesterdays announcement, I can now take bookings! At the moment my online booking system asks you to 'request booking' - this is so that I can better manage appointments and gaps in between. I am available for home visits, but I will also be able to offer an alternative if you would prefer. I have made a set of guidelines that you can find at the top of this page. Please print the COVID declaration and complete to hand me on arrival. If it is your first treatment with me, please also print and complete the consultation form, and make me aware of any medical conditions/injuries.
You may wonder why I am unavailable from the 3rd of August for 2 weeks - this is because I am going back to college to study Sports Massage! I will be looking for case studies/guinea pigs, so let me know if you are interested.
I have contacted everybody on my priority list asking them to book in, so I can now open up to others. Follow this link - Book Now
I look forward to seeing you!
30 June 2020 - So, the government has strange priorities... Pub, yes, football yes, massage, nooooo :-( I am so ready to book one the minute I can! I am hoping to hear that we will be allowed to take bookings from the middle of July, but this is just a hopeful guess! Please do get in touch if youd like to be on my priority list, or subscibe below if you'd just like to know when all is up and running again.
In the meantime I'm going back to being a weight-loss coach with Herbalife. I lost 3 and a half stone 12 years ago using these great products, and I realise this is something I can help people with online. Watch this space!! (Again, to hear more please send me a message, or subscribe below!)
11 June 2020 - I am preparing to resume hands-on massage in early July, however I realise this could change. I figure its better to be prepared just in case! I am ordering PPE for myself and clients to use during treatments, and creating a detailed hygiene procedure for before and after clients. I am also enquiring about premises to use potentially, as a temporary solution for seeing you all, as going between houses too much could be risky.
All the below still applies, so please keep in touch! Also I will be sending the occassional email, so please subscribe to receive these at the bottom of this page!
10 May 2020 – With no idea on when we will be able to open again, I am keeping a record of people who would like to be contacted as soon as possible. Priority will be given to key workers, and existing clients with health conditions that are helped by massage.
I am currently offering FREE telephone consultations to new and existing clients, to offer advice or provide emotional support. These appointments can be booked here.
Businesses can contact me for quotes about workplace massage. Now is a great time to do this, so that you have the information ready for when we can reopen!
Hygiene is very important in our industry, and I can imagine there will be advice on ramping this up when we reopen.
